Last year, a new category was added to Zweig White’s Best Firms to Work For award, the Best Multidiscipline A/E Services Firm to Work For in the nation. The winner for both last year and this year is H&A Architects & Engineers.
The new multidiscipline category ranking is based on an independent staff survey, workplace practices, employee benefits, employee recognition programs, and employee retention levels.
H&A President and CEO, Mike Matthews, PE. explains, “While management does what it can to facilitate a good working environment, at the end of the day, it’s all of the staff that really make it that way.” He added that “in addition to the Best Firms To Work For award, we won first place awards for Recruiting and Retention and for Best Employee Recognition Program.
Human Resources Manager, Patti Beasley, PHR notes that the company conducts itself as a team that “celebrates the good times and pushes to work through the seemingly stressful ones.” Providing the foundation, the firm is able to enhance its culture, “whether it be health insurance, recognition programs, or employee events.” She continued, “Leadership listens and demonstrates concern by supporting those programs that are meaningful to all.”
No matter what the industry or business, effective employee incentive programs are essential in developing and continuing employee satisfaction. Implementing wellness programs, or recognition programs, or retention programs will be long-term investments that are sure to prove fruitful.
